Welcome to Mr. M & Mrs. D's Geometry Classes

TEACHER:  Excited to start my 18th year of teaching here at Newtown for this 2023-24 school year!  It is my pleasure and joy to teach Geometry in the Integrated Co-Teaching classroom (ICT).  I have earned my Bachelors of Business Administration degree in Finance & Investments at Baruch College, CUNY and my Masters of Teaching degree specializing in Secondary Special Education at Queens College, CUNY.

GRADE ADVISOR:  I also serve as the Instructional Support Services Academic Grade Advisor, ensuring my student group is given the road map to earn the credits needed, along with their required NYS Regents exams, in order to  graduate from Newtown High School in a timely fashion, AND in an appropriate learning environment based on their needs.  

2023-24 will be an exciting year for our Geometry courses.  We have learned so much on how to integrate technology and found it more efficient, so much so that we will integrate the use of digital platforms this year.  Applications we will use include Google Classroom, Google Forms, DeltaMath, Socrative, and others during the school year.   This might sound a little overwhelming, so it is my goal to help each student enjoy learning and become successful...and remember ... "Mistakes are Beautiful Things".

Google Classroom:  The syllabus for the course are posted as a Resourse Material in our Google Classrooms. Make sure to log into our Google Classroom page.  All work will be posted on your class page.  The expectation is that the work is to be completed on the day it is assigned, unless otherwise indicated by the teachers.
