Visitor Policy/Early Pickup

Any visitor who comes into the building must stop at the security desk, sign in, and show proper identification.  The visitor will be given a pass.  The school safety agent will announce the visitor.  The visitor will be accompanied to their destination and supervised by a school staff for the entirety of their visit. Once the parents’ business at the school has been completed, that same person will escort the parents back to the safety agent’s desk to exit the building.  Please be advised that all visitors must have a scheduled appointment to meet with a teacher, guidance counselor, or administrator. Any person doing work in the building must have a proper ID tag.

To pick up your child early from a NYC DOE high school, you must come to the school in person, have a photo ID, and be listed on their Blue Emergency Contact Card. You should also notify the school in advance, either by sending a note with your child or by calling (718-595-8400), and be prepared to sign them out in the main office.
