The first draft will be UNGRADED. However, it is the only draft that will receive feedback from myself or Mrs. Connelly. You must write it so it can be edited for the final. All questions must be asked and answered during this draft stage.
Due:
Write a response that focuses on Malcolm X’s methods (i.e.: characterization, conflict, theme, point of view and etc.) of revealing the effects of SYSTEMIC OPPRESSION on African Americans. Systemic oppression is the way that societal and governmental forces or systems prevent people from being equal or rising above their class status. Use any information and textual evidence from chapters 5 -11. Find at least two examples of how systemic oppression played a role in Malcolm X’s life and or his quest to reveal the injustices that African Americans had faced during his lifetime. You must write 2-3 paragraphs with at least two quotes per paragraph.
