Please look at new formulas carefully because using the $ dollar sign before the column and row reference (cell addresses) locks the cell reference from being changed when it's copied to another location in the worksheet. As you know, when using autofill or copying formulas, the cell reference changes for us automatically to pick up the correct data, but in this case we DO NOT WANT the cell addresses changed. We want them to stick! For example: In Step #15, in cell E8, type the formula =B8/$B$16 Using the dollar signs before Column B and Row 16 "locks" this cell from changing no matter where you copy in the worksheet. It's like glue, keeps it stuck! Hope this helps you understand absolute cell references. Please read all steps/data carefully.
