I wanted to take a moment to recap what a fantastic week we had last week, filled with big wins for our sports teams. Your support and enthusiasm played a crucial role in these successes, and I truly appreciate each one of you.
Additionally, the Festival of Nations was an amazing success! I saw so many wonderful pictures and had the opportunity to witness previews during rehearsals. I'm continually impressed by the incredible talent we have in our community.
I also want to give a special shoutout to Adrian and Rocky’s catering. Many of us have been enjoying their delicious offerings, and as a gesture of gratitude for our business, they are generously donating a hero for one of our upcoming events. Thank you again for your continued support!
Looking ahead, we have an exciting week lined up. On Tuesday, the Restorative Justice Club will be holding a bake sale, followed by another one on Friday for the Crochet Club. Be sure to show your support!
While we’re on the topic of bake sales, The PTA and I want to address how they work, as per the PTA’s request. Here’s the breakdown:
1. Request & Setup: You will need to request the date for your bake sale, and I will assist in getting it set up. We want to ensure that a PTA representative is available to monitor the money and handle the deposit at the end of the sale.
2. Financial Process: All the money raised from the bake sale will be deposited into the PTA account. The PTA will then issue a check either to your club for an item or to the school treasurer.
3. Cost Contributions: The PTA is happy to assist by placing a BJ’s order for supplies; however, we ask that any club or team contribute by having their members bring baked goods. These do not have to be expensive! For instance, a box of cake mix can cost as little as two dollars. The more you contribute, the higher the profit margin.
4. Profit Sharing: If the PTA is the only contributor, the profits from the bake sale will be split between the club and the PTA. It’s important for the PTA to generate funds to support various projects, such as decorations for Decision Day, Senior Day, and Winter Wonderland. If your team brings in most of the baked goods, then the PTA will simply take back the amount they spent.
With this setup, bake sales can generate anywhere from $100 to $900, depending on sales and contributions. Your involvement is key!
Thank you once again for your hard work and dedication. Let’s keep the momentum going!
