Weekly Recap - 5/05/2025

First and foremost, we were incredibly blessed to welcome the honorable Lourdes Ventura, and Dr. Jean for our College and Career Day. It was especially meaningful to have Ms. Ventura, an esteemed alumna of our school, return to share her insights and experiences with our students.

Additionally, I cannot express enough how exhilarating the pep rally was! The energy on the field contagious, and it was fantastic to see so much pride in our Newtown community as we rallied together to support our teams. Special thank you to all who helped make this day possible.

Let’s not forget the incredible music show from Tuesday! The talent displayed by our students was simply amazing. Their hard work and dedication truly shone through, making for a night to remember. It was a joy to see so many families and friends coming together to celebrate our young performers.(pictures to follow)

I also want to give a big shoutout to our Key Club, who represented our school at the Five Borough Bike Tour on Sunday! Their commitment and hard work were evident as they served an impressive 32,000 bikers. We are so proud of the efforts they put forth to support our community!

Looking ahead, we have some exciting events coming up this week:

- Decision Day Celebration: Tomorrow in the library, we’ll be celebrating our seniors. Let’s come together to recognize their hard work and achievements!

- Chinese Club Bake Sale: Don’t miss out on delicious treats! Be sure to stop by and support our Chinese Club during the bake sale.

We’re also still seeking participants for our upcoming job fair. If anyone has connections or knows of individuals who would be interested in speaking with our students about potential employment opportunities, please reach out.
