The Debate Team Keeps Winning!
Newtown’s debate team earned First Place in the American Debate League High School Fall Classic Sweepstakes, securing the top overall position in a highly competitive field. The achievement highlights the team’s strong preparation, consistency, and excellence across multiple rounds of competition.
Several students also received outstanding individual recognition. Amelia Ramirez was awarded First Place Speaker, while Kabin Shah earned Second Place Speaker, reflecting exceptional skill in argumentation and delivery. In addition, Noirhit Ghosh, Parthib Dey, Craig Gu, and Atif Alam each completed the tournament undefeated, winning all three of their matches.
These results underscore the depth of talent and dedication within Newtown’s debate program and mark an impressive start to the season.
