The results are in, and the Freshmen are the October Attendance Showdown Champions!
As part of Newtown High School's ongoing effort to promote strong attendance, students across all grade levels competed in the monthly Attendance Showdown, a friendly class-wide challenge designed to encourage students to be present, engaged, and ready to learn each day.
For the month of October, the 9th Grade Class came out on top, earning the highest attendance rate among all grade levels. Their dedication to attending school consistently and supporting one another helped secure the championship title.
Congratulations to our Freshmen for setting the standard and demonstrating that every day counts. Strong attendance plays a key role in academic success, school engagement, and building a positive school community.
The challenge continues as students look ahead to November. Which grade level will rise to the top next?
Keep it up, Pioneers, and remember: Every Student Counts. Every Day Counts.
