A.L.A.S. - Alliance of Latin American Students
The A.L.A.S. club was created to inspire and empower newcomer students form Latin America to use their leadership skills to support others while learning English. Our mission is to show that even while adapting to new culture and language, every student has the power to lead, to contribute, and to make a difference in our school community. Through cultural events, peer mentoring, and community projects, A.L.A.S. helps students celebrate their heritage, build confidence, and take flight toward their goals ⎯ because "con alas, todo es posible."
El club A.L.A.S. se creó para inspirar y empoderar a los estudiantes recién llegados de América Latina, animándolos a utilizar sus habilidades de liderazgo para apoyar a los demás mientras aprenden inglés. Nuestra misión es demostrar que, incluso durante el proceso de adaptación a una nueva cultura e idioma, cada estudiante tiene el poder de liderar, contribuir y marcar la diferencia en nuestra comunidad escolar. A través de eventos culturales, mentoría entre compañeros y proyectos comunitarios, A.L.A.S. ayuda a los estudiantes a celebrar sus raíces, ganar confianza y emprender el vuelo hacia sus metas, porque "con alas, todo es posible".
