Although her interest in Shakespeare began in high school, Ms. Clark was well into adulthood when she decided to become an English teacher. Raising a young child by day and taking college classes at night, all it took was one class with a really special professor to reignite her interest in Shakespeare.Ms. Clark smiling beside a centuries-old First Folio edition of Shakespeare's works

All these years later, Ms. Clark is determined to eliminate the fear some students have about Shakespeare and his works. Her main goal is to help students develop an appreciation for Shakespeare by contextualizing his plays in the era in which they were written. There is so much cultural history surrounding theater and entertainment in Elizabethan England. In Shakespeare's time, public access to theater was brand new and exciting (kind of like the advent of the Internet)!

When she's not teaching, Ms. Clark enjoys hanging out with her dog, King Henry VIII, listening to the Backstreet Boys (loudly). She also enjoys visiting her daughter at her home in Dublin, Ireland.
