hello I am Carlos Michelle Scott New Town class of 2002 I'm currently living in Jakarta Indonesia if you don't know Indonesia than maybe you've heard of Bali same country different Island work for it and then you just only decacorn Tech startup and none of this would be possible if it wasn't for attending and finishing Newtown High School if you would have told me that this will be me one day when I was in high school I wouldn't have believed you I only finished high school and went to college because that's what my mom wanted when I started High School I only had been living in the u.s.a. New York City for three years so English is not my first language I was in I'm a single parent home and Welfare while attending High School I work part-time and construction during the Summers but I pushed forward and taught me many valuable life skills about coach diversity teamwork overcoming obstacles and failure I learned want to go with the flow went to Stand My Ground and other times run two of my best friends that I still talk to you on the weekly basis are both New Town graduates when is of Indian descent and he lives in the sea and the other Ecuadorian she lives in Woodside last year when I visited New York outside of time that I spent with family they were the two people I spent the most time with his hearts that we've been friends since freshman year at new town when I look like this and I'm graduated looking like I was in a boy band like this now if you know if you don't know what to do after high school it's I needed that I'm perfectly fine I'm sure you'll figure it out and if you do graduation now I'm not going to tell you a story that everything that happens in high school is great it's not but honestly you forget the bad stuff quick and remember the good I would not be where I am without graduating from Newtown having a high school diploma open doors the college College open doors to a better-paying job and those jobs open doors to travel and seeing the world while helping my family and those about so I know if I was able to do it anyone can do it as well you just have to conquer one day at a time and maybe 20 years from now you will be speaking to Newtown High School students and doing them add a job at Academy so thank you new town or setting me on the right track and helping me or friendships the last a lifetime thanks
